Hello everyone! My name is Akira Hayes and I am so happy to be a North Middle School Gator! I graduated from Tennessee Tech University earning my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 2017. I worked at Harris Middle School teaching 6th grade math. After my first year I was blessed with my second son, so I took a year off and subbed. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2019. I began teaching 6th grade math in a interim position at North Middle School January 2020. I then taught at Broadview for the 2020-2021 school year. In 2021 I became a Gator again! I have a 11 year old son and a four year old son. In my spare time, I love to travel and watch movies with my family. We love basketball and everything about it! I am looking forward to having a great year!
